Benevolent Fund

Back to news

I thought I would bring this to your attention – especially in the current situation on Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The objects of the fund are to relieve bowlers and their dependants who are in need, hardship or distress.

The Benevolent Fund is a registered Charity whose funds have been raised over a number of years by the bowlers of the County making donations annually to help their fellow bowlers in times of need. That need may not necessarily be a financial need, perhaps a simple gift from fellow bowlers at a difficult time of life can make a difference, to the bowler / ex bowler themselves, or to their close family.

The County welcomes applications which would usually be through their club / ex club Secretary who should make contact with the County Honorary Secretary giving a brief outline of the application, the benefactor and reason, amount requested, etc.

The maximum value of any gift awarded is capped at £ 100 per individual.

Applications to George Batey.
