As we’re nearing the end of our County EBA ties it seemed like a fitting time to update you in our Women’s National competitions.
Our congratulations go out to S Carter of HX who beat S Ratcliffe (AK) with a score of 23 – 19 to win the area finals of the national senior singles and now qualified for Leamington Spa.
In the National Senior Pairs, the last area semi-final was played today where P Browne (BD) and S Storey (G) teamed up to beat T Napier (WQ) 31 – 2 with 5 ends remaining. They’ll now play E Boaden of HX in the area final on a neutral green before 28th July.
Boaden herself had a previous victory of 22 – 18 against M Maddison (WM) so I’m sure this battle for a space at Leamington will be one to watch!
