Report on the Northern Counties Match Northld. V Durham @ Alnwick on 19/5/23
Yesterday found Northld. Ladies playing their first match against Durham in the Northern Counties trophy.
Playing in brilliant sunshine Northumberland started well, three rinks up after 5 ends and keeping pace with Durham and being 1 shot up at 15 ends. Determination and true team spirit saw, especially Christine Gardners rink , absorbing any shot deficit on other rinks winning 26 to 7.
Overall Northumberland won 90 shots to Durhams 80. Giving Northumberland 6 points to Durhams 4.
A great start to our Counties season.
