Well the penultimate game for the Northern Counties League was a cracker. Northumberland came out of the traps with only one outcome in mind and that was a WIN. They did not disappoint, Northumberland 98 v Durham 85.
At 5 ends we were up 32 v 24 up but by 10 ends the difference narrowed to only 4 shots. By the 15th end we certainly had the bit between our teeth leading 83 v 75.
The last three ends on all 6 rinks were crucial but no need to worry, overall 15 shots were scored against Durhams 10 giving us a 13 shots win.
Playing on Blackhall green was a treat. One of the best greens this season and with
superb warm weather along with sheer determination todays win was sweet.
Keep it up ladies for our last game away against Cumbria. We can finish on a higher high.
