Fridays Northern Counties game against Yorkshire at Thirsk is a one to forget. Except for the brilliant game played by Christine Gardner (skip), Pam Varley, Joan Gledhill and Susan MacDonald who got Northumberland 2 points we were sunk without trace.
By 5 ends it was evident being 17 shots down overall we were struggling and when the first rain during a match this season came that was it. Not only did Yorkshire rain down on us shot after shot the heavens did too.
2 more Northern games left, hopefully Northumberland Ladies will rise like a Phoenix and start to get the results they are capable of.
