Bowls England National Champion of Champions Runner Up – PHIL HARVEY
Further to earlier post on this and our very own St. Georges Dragon Phil Harvey is in the national FINAL.
Phil was 12 – 3 down, and also 14 – 6 down and battled back to record a fantastic win over Surrey’s Stuart Lowe 21 – 14.
Phil will play Warwickshire’s Graham Ashby. Phil will not only be looking to win the national title but also revenge as Ashby beat Phil last year in the same competition at Leamington Spa in the national finals.
Phil will play Ashby at 2:30pm today (as also Phil has triples later at 5:30pm).
RESULT: Phil Harvey 13 Graham Ashby 21
I know this is not the result we and of course Phil wanted. BUT I must say congratulations to Phil, a fantastic achievement, an amazing effort, well done, you played some exceptional bowls on your journey in this competition.
Well done again Phil and congratulations.
