Is it Coming Home….

Back to news

Before Sunday’s night football game the question or statement refers to the Middleton Cup campaign, which starts tomorrow afternoon at Houghton Dairy Lane (neutral green) against our old foes Cumbria. The last time we lifted this prestigious and possibly the most important cup was back in 1988, so in a year of many firsts or breaking certain things or hoodoos lets bring this home!

This year as previously mentioned the format is not a group stage, and it is a straight knockout, so there are no second chances. The winners will play Durham in the 2nd round, as Durham were due to play Lancashire tomorrow at York RI, but unfortunately due to Covid_19 issues Lancashire have conceded the game.

The team for tomorrow is as follows –

M Cymber, S Miller, S Harvey, Cooper;

L Yeomans, C Knott, K Jameson, D Parkes;

R Curtis, G Donkin, R Train, J Curtis;

S Pallas, R Warnes-Hall, J Morgan, A Barke;

G Robinson, A Stewart, G Myerscough, P Harvey;

D Targar, N Aitchison, J Minto, C Yeomans;

Reserves (from and not in any order): P Proctor, J King, P Timney (Paul T is none travelling, as playing in Alsop)

Players to arrive by 1:15 pm please.

Those requiring shirts / jacket – please possibly arrive a few minutes before this.

Any issues please contact Team Manager John Harthen on 07759976692 – thank you.
