Thursday evening brought the quarter finals of the Edwardson Cup.
First up was Gosforth defeating Walker St. Peters by 11 shots, with 2 rinks up. There was a good away win for St. Georges Dragons beating Cramlington 53 to 37.
The final two quarter finals were very close, Westerhope took full advantage of being at home, where they defeated Forest Hall 46 – 43. The final quarter final was the closest and went down to the last bowl of the game, and saw Rothbury winning at Gosforth & Coxlodge 45 to 44 shots.
The semi finals and finals are played on one day – Sunday 18th June @ Ponteland BC, and sees Rothbury take on St. Georges Dragons and Westerhope playing Gosforth.
