Further to my update previously this week on the forthcoming Challenge Cup semi-finals.
There are 6 still 6 sections – with Ponteland, Cramlington, Forth, Health & Security, Heaton Victoria and Rockcliffe Rollers all hosting. Each group has had amendments made, due to withdrawals of clubs – a total of 9, but we have one addition, that is Percy who have now entered.
In 5 of the 6 sections there are now only 4 clubs in each, and the only section with 5 clubs competing is at Forth BC.
All paperwork – that is schedules and results sheet has gone out today – apologies for delay in getting this out, but clubs even dropped out today.
I will unfortunately not been in attendance on Saturday, as I am at the Bowls England National Finals at Royal Leamington Spa.
I wish each player and each club the very best of luck on Saturday – and each section winner will qualify for the final the following Saturday (19th).
