Friday will see our Men’s senior fours in action – but will not be until the afternoon. Our representatives are Benfield’s Alan Pomfrey, Paul Proctor, Alan Proctor and Stan Lant. They avoid the prelim round and straight in to round 1, where they will take on either Trevor Hoy’s Egham, Surrey quartet or Bowls Sussex quartet, skipped by former St. Georges player Trevor Logan.

mens_senior_fours_PRELIM-1A huge congratulations to Cumbria in winning the Men’s Fours this afternoon – defeating the defending champions Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire’s John McGuiness in the final. Well done to the four from Workington BC – Stephen Cook, Ian Williams, James Park, David Forster.
The Men’s Junior Pairs also gets underway today with prelim ties, and like the Senior 4’s we avoid the preliminary round, and we start our campaign tomorrow (Sat 28th @ 9:30am) – against Bedfordshire’s Adrian Allen & Ben Frost.
