After a very busy Wednesday where we had a National Runner Up in St. Georges Dragons Phil Harvey in the Men’s Champion of Champions, and also the start of the Men’s Triples. Unfortunately for both triples they lost in their opening games. But I am sure for one of the triples in Morpeth’s Nick Armstrong, Bob Leeson and Wally Ray – as it was their first time in qualifying and I sincerely hope they enjoyed their experience, although I do acknowledge not the result they or anyone wanted.
On to today (Thursday) sees the continuation of the Women’s Pairs, as both pairs came through their rounds yesterday – Kacee & Jess won 2 games, and Mattea & Sheila won their only game and also sees the start of the Mixed Fours.

- Kacee & Jess 18 v 20 Lincolnshire (after extra end)
Our county pairs champions from Forest Hall Kacee Sultman & Jess Weir take on Lincolnshire’s Ruby Hill & Chelsea Spencer.

The Mixed 4’s starts this afternoon at 2pm for our quartet and we are represented by Kayleigh Proctor, Rachel Cartwright, Simon Richardson & Chris Yeomans. We will take on Deb Shrimpton, Ian Christey, J Edmans, Richard Haley (Essex).
MIXED 4’s RESULT:- Kayleigh, Rachel, Simon & Chris won 28 – 5 against Essex
They will play Surrey tomorrow morning at 9:30am, as Surrey got a walkover against Oxfordshire this afternoon due to the 2 ladies Oxfordshire players still playing in the Women’s Pairs National Championships.
