Northumberland went in to there second game in their Alsop Cup campaign against holders Durham at Gosforth BC on Saturday 10th July.
Hopes were high to add another victory after hammering Lancashire in their opening game by over 100 shots. However it was not to be, as Durham started the better in the opening exchanges. We unfortunately could not quite recover from this bad start and holders Durham duly went on to take victory by 29 shots and collected 10 match points and 6 rink points.
