Tuesday 25th May saw our first women’s competition reach the Semi-Final stage.
In the early round, S Storey had a decisive home victory over Percy’s A Dunton (23 -6) , however her next victory wasn’t nearly so sweet. Playing away to Whitley & Monkseaton’s M Maddison, Storey had a narrow win of 3 shots with a final score of 17 – 14 in her favour.
S. Storey will now take on V Symons in the semi-final.
The trend of close scores continued with R brown (AK) defeating M Cowan (PE) on her home green by only 1 shot (15-14). They now go on to face S MaCdonald (HX) Who narrowly defeated current title holders K Proctor (BD), scoring 2 on the final end to win 14 – 11.
The Semi-Final will take place at Benfield starting at 11 am on Sunday 30th May.
