Thursday 1st June concluded our first quarter finals. We now know which competitors grabbed the first spots available in the Women’s semi-final weekend at Whitley & Monkseaton on 15th/16th July.
J Robson (LL) played earlier this week, they faced V Shepherd (AK) at home and came out on top winning 16 – 12. Staying North, V Symons also made great use of her home advantage and defeated B Ware (WM) 24 – 12.
In a really close match, S London (C) just squeezed over the finish line, 11-10, to secure a home victory and their spot in the semi-final over B Bell (M).
The last tie saw current champion’s S Storey G bow out of the competition – losing away to K Proctor (BD) – that made 4/4 victories for the home drawn players!
