Bowls Northumberland would like to announce that Sheila Storey has resigned from her position as Assistant Secretary.
We would like to take this opportunity to recognise and sincerely thank Sheila for the contribution she has made to our county over the years.
From 2022 to 2025, Sheila served as the Bowls Northumberland Women’s Secretary and was a member of the Joint Executive. During this time, she played an important role in one of the most significant developments in the history of our county. Sheila was instrumental in bringing together and helping to establish the Unification Committee, which went on to undertake the work that ultimately led to the dissolution of the separate men’s and women’s sections. Her commitment and willingness to help bring people together played an important part in paving the way for our county to finally operate together as one Bowls Northumberland.
Over the past year, Sheila has continued to support the county in her role as Assistant Secretary, contributing to the ongoing work of the organisation and helping to ensure that Bowls Northumberland continues to develop with a strong foundation for the future.
We are grateful to Sheila for the time, commitment and experience she has given to Bowls Northumberland throughout her various roles.
Thank you, Sheila, for your dedication and contribution to our county. Your involvement has been an important part of the journey towards the Bowls Northumberland we have today, and we wish you all the very best for the future.
