Stella Logan v Cumbria

Back to news

The penultimate Stella Logan match was played yesterday (Friday 7th July) against a strong Cumbrian team at Hexham Elvaston.
The Northumberland ladies started well and at half way managed a lead of three shots overall but the wheels fell off.
In very warm and uncomfortable conditions it seemed the great lead that Joan Gledhills rink had was not going to be enough. Joan’s rink has shown a consistent ability to score well throughout the league so hopefully some of their success will rub off on the other three rinks in their last game.
Pat. Thompson’s rink always had shot opportunity only to find accuracy at the head to go against them.
There is still a long way to go to achieve all four winning rinks but the potential is there just untapped at the moment. Well done ladies, onwards and upwards.
Result 52 shots Northumberland v 75 Cumbria.
