🌟 Bowls Northumberland Needs A Safeguarding Officer!

Help us keep our sport safe, welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

Being a Safeguarding Officer isn’t just a requirement for county affiliation—it’s a vital role at the heart of protecting the wellbeing of our members, visitors and spectators. We’re looking for people who care about creating a positive, respectful environment across our bowls community.

🛡️ What You’ll Do

  • Champion safety, inclusivity and welfare across the County
  • Record and report safeguarding concerns to Bowls England
  • Promote a culture of respect, trust and positive behaviour
  • Stay up to date with safeguarding best practice and training
  • Be a friendly, approachable point of contact for members

👥 Who Can Apply?

Anyone with a passion for protecting people. You don’t need to be a bowler—just someone committed to safeguarding and willing to complete the required checks and training.

🎯 Why Step Forward?

You’ll make a real difference, help shape a safe sporting environment, and play a key role in supporting your local clubs.
If you’re ready to help protect the future of bowls in Northumberland, we’d love to hear from you.
