Today saw the Women’s Pairs fight it out for a place in the semi finals with some very impressive wins!

 

S. Carter (HX) 9 v A. Dunton (FH) 23

Hexham Elvaston took an early lead of 5-3 after 6 ends. Then the Forest Hall ladies took 3×3 in quick succession to lead 12-6 after 10 ends. Forest Hall pushed on hard to take the win 23-9.

 

B. Ware (WM) 27 v D. Tait (FH) 1

W&M took an early lead in this game and then never looked back! Finishing the game with a 5 on end 12 to win 27-1.

 

V. Errington (BD) 16 v S. London (C) 9

Collingwood took an early lead of 4-2 after 5 ends. After 10 ends Benfield had pushed in front to lead 7-5. Benfield took a 5 on end 15 to increase their lead to 15-6. The gap proved too hard for Collingwood to close and Benfield finished the game on 16-9.

 

T. Napier (FH) 23 v A-M. Murray (FH) 10

This game started very close with Murray’s team leading 5-4 after 5 ends. After 7 ends they were level on 7-7. By end 10 Charlton’s team had taken a lead of 14-7. They then stayed in command to end the game 23-10 up.

 

So we have our semi finalists for the Women’s Pairs which will take place over the Unified Semi Final weekend 17th-20th July at Gosforth:

 

  • A. Dunton (FH) v B. Ware (WM)
  • V. Errington (BD) v T. Napier (FH)
