Our County fixtures continued today, on a scorcher of a day! (Friday 23rd July) We played Durham at Gosforth WA, in our first battle both the Northern Counties and Stella Logan had good games, with the NC receiving 4/5 points and the SL getting 1.5/5. So going into today’s match with a win in hand and a home advantage both sides were feeling hopeful.
Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be, the Stella Logan didn’t receive any points, although B Ware narrowly lost by 1 shot, and A Taws only by 5.
In the Northern counties however, we received 2 out of 5 rink shots – with S Storey and M Cowan winning by 5 and 6 shots respectively. the NC lost out on the overall win by 1 shot (46 to 47)
