Yesterday saw Northumberland Ladies play in the Northern Counties League against Yorkshire at Gosforth WA.
Northumberland were up on two rinks skipped by Shelagh Carter and Christine Gardner. Sheila Storey’s rink narrowly beaten after leading nearly all the way by 2 shots.
The recent dry weather had all the ladies fighting to find the pace which was faster than
they were used to but Yorkshire were quicker to adjust.
Overall score saw Northumberland 65 v 120 Yorkshire (2 points v 8 points)
