Well Vesuvius erupted on Friday in the form of Northumberland v Yorkshire in the Northern Counties League. Hosted admirably by Ponteland BC, Northumberland just could not answer the strength of the Yorkshire team. After five ends there was just four shots difference to the good of Yorkshire on five rinks but Dorothy Taylors foursome were proving too strong and they pulled away from their opponents to be our only winning rink 20 v 13. Again some work to be done but the talent is there we just need to work on the mindset.
Overall score 80 v 117 = 1 point to Northumberland, 9 points to Yorkshire
