Northumberland 111 – Yorkshire 51 (Match Points 20 – 2)

With our result it meant Durham v Yorkshire game was a dead rubber to a degree, as with us collecting 33 points, it meant Durham even with a maximum win could only get to 31 points. Durham beat Yorkshire 99 – 68 and collected 19 points.

The results were very pleasing and it gave opportunities for many, along with a number of youngsters playing in our team. This included one rink in the afternoon of all under 25’s and they defeated regular Yorkshire’s Middleton Cup skip in Gary Bunce.

Well done to all concerned and congratulations on the win, and retaining the cup.
