Today, Saturday our Men’s Middleton Cup campaign gets underway, and in a way there is nothing better than a Middleton Cup Saturday!
As reported in the previous post we are in North Group B – which consists our ourselves, holders of the overall national title Lincolnshire, Lancashire and Derbyshire.
In this group we will play two away games – firstly at Lancashire today, then Lincolnshire in 2 weeks, and we finish our group campaign, with a home game against Derbyshire.
We travel to Manchester today – to take on our Northern Counties neighbours in Lancashire, at Heaton Hall BC – starting at 1pm. Each game is crucial of course but a great start today with a win and rink points in the opening game would be superb, and hopefully set the tone for the season.
We wish the team the very best of luck today, and to the new Team Manager Neil Aitchison in his new role.
