Saturday (tomorrow) will hopefully be a super Saturday, which sees our Men’s county teams in action – that is Middleton Cup and Alsop Cup. (Although I do realise the Balcomb and White Rose teams have already played this season).
First to start will see our Middleton Cup campaign start at home to Lancashire. We of course will be looking to go one better than last season, as we finished national runners up at the national finals at Leamington Spa. Tomorrow we start at Gosforth BC against Lancashire with the game starting at 12:30pm. So please get yourselves along to see some cracking bowling, great atmosphere and get behind Neil and the team. This game is the first of four group games – we will play Cumbria at home (again at Gosforth 21/06), then Durham away, and final game against Yorkshire away as well. Also tomorrow sees our Men’s Alsop Cup start – that is the Northern Counties Association fixtures, and we face Yorkshire at Northallerton BC. The game is scheduled to start at 2pm – but the forecast is not looking good, and a sharper start may be needed. We wish Graeme and his team the very best of luck tomorrow. This like the Middleton is the first of four games – 2 away and 2 at home – to view fixtures and dates – CLICK HERE.
As always I will try and keep updated where I can – hopefully the rain will not be as bad as the forecast.
And Good luck to our girls competing in the John’s. Trophy, after a few years absence. Our girls take on Yorkshire at Alnwick BC. Good luck to all concerned.
And to all the players play well, do yourselves and Northumberland proud – good luck and WIN.
