Men’s Competitions

Back to news

Just thought I would give you all an update on the Men’s Competitions – and in particular number of entries received, which is very pleasing (a total of 125 more than 2021 season).  As currently no draws have been done as yet – I hope to do this in the next few days, if possible.

As you know counties with the most entries get 2 entries for the National Finals, where the top 13 counties with the most entry per event get a second entry. I realise we do not know other counties, as like ourselves their numbers may have gone up as well. But looking at the figures in the past season, our 4 Wood entries may mean getting 2 entries to Leamington Spa. This is the data for each county for 2021 season.

Please note on the Champion of Champions (County one), the figure in 2021 was higher as it covered both 2019 and 2020 club champions. So the 2022 season entries was always going to be slightly lower.

The most pleasing aspect is our Juniors, and the under 18 singles – where last year we struggled to get 2. But this year we have 13 that has entered, which is great for all concerned. After all without these youngsters we have nothing.
