Today, Sunday 4th, was the final date for the ladies fours to be played. For those eagle-eyed website users, you may have already seen the top half of the fours had played early which meant we only actually had 2 ties played today.
After A Eagle’s team (FH), had defeated current holders S Stothard (LL) in their opening tie, they then hosted M Urwin (NW) and won 16-11 to grab the first semi-final spot.
The next tie saw 2018 champions S Storey (G) play off against S London (C), in an agonisingly close match, Storey snatched it on the last end to go through 16-15.
The third result in was from our 2019 champions, K Proctor (BD). They played K Milner (M) at home and won 20 shots to 10.
Our last tie saw yet another champion triumphant, V Symons (WR) (2021) travelled to Whitley & Monkseaton and defeated B Ware 22 -8.
Our semi-final will see 3 former champions battle it out for a space in the final and for a spot at National finals this August where 2 qualify – or will A Eagle’s team beat them all to it?
