Rink 1
Started well leading 12–3 after 10 ends. Then they stalled on 12 for 6 ends as Durham crept up to lead 13-12 on end 15. Thankfully Northumberland pulled it back to win 16-15 🎉
Rink 2
Started well and were leading 6-2 after 5 ends. After 10 ends Durham had cut their deficit back to 8-9. Northumberland pushed on hard and took a 6 on end 15 to extend their lead to 19-9. They pushed on hard and took the final 3 ends to win 23-9 🎉
Rink 3
Struggled at the start and were 1-6 down after 5 ends. There were some tremendous heads in this game, but it was Durham who pushed on hard to extend their lead to 14-3 after 10 ends. After 15 ends they had taken their lead to 23-5. Despite taking a 2 on end 17, Northumberland finished down 7-25!
Rink 4
Started well but giving a 3 away on end 4 meant Durham were leading 5-3 after 5 ends. After 10 ends Durham had extended their lead to 11-5. After 15 ends Durham were still in front 16-8. Despite taking a 3 on end 16, Northumberland finished the game 22-11!
Rink 5
Durham started strong and were leading 6-2 after 5 ends. After 10 ends they were still in front 10-7. Northumberland stalled on 7 for the next 5 ends as Durham crept up to lead 15-8. Despite a late surge by Northumberland they finished the game 11-19 down!
Rink 6
Northumberland got off to a slow start but were just 4-6 down after 5 ends. After 10 ends they had cut their deficit back to 8-9. Taking 3×2 and a 3 &1 on the next 5 ends Northumberland managed to take the lead 16-10 after 15 ends. They continued to push hard taking the last 3 ends to secure a win of 20-10 🎉
So well done Northumberland a great effort against strong opposition from Durham 🙌🙌
