St. Georges Phil Harvey has won through to the final stages of the Bowls England National Champion of Champions Singles.
As previously reported Phil had won the Northumberland area, but this was not Phil qualifying as Phil had to face the Durham winner and the winner of this game would then proceed to Leamington Spa.
I’m pleased to inform you that Phil played on Tuesday evening at a neutral green (Pelton Fell BC) against Durham’s Brian Poulter and Phil won 21 – 15.
Phil will now take his place at the finals at Leamington Spa, where Phil is in the last 16 in the country. Phil will play Warwickshire’s Graham Ashby in his first game at the finals on Tuesday 31st August. Well done Phil, a great achievement and keep going, as I know you will.
