The quarter finals of the Edwardson Cup were played tonight and the holders St. Georges stayed on course to retain the trophy.
St. Georges had a very convincing home win over Newbiggin 84 to 29 shots. In the other ties there was a good away win for Cramlington at Health & Security by 18 shots, and Cramlington will now face Rothbury who defeated Gosforth at home.
The semi-finals (and final) will take place this coming Sunday (8th) at Gosforth BC – with the semi-finals due to start at 9.30am.
Reminder to all clubs – that CLUB stickers MUST be used on all bowls on Sunday.
