The competition draws for 2026 were made on Tuesday the 18th at Portland BC, who I would like to thank for the use of their club. All draws are now live on the county website excluding the Mixed Pairs, Jubilee Cup and Challenge Cup.
Some things to note; last year a round of the 2 bowl singles overlapped with the start of the 4 bowl singles and a round still had to be played after that to get to the last 4 entrants. For 2026 these two rounds, last 16 and last 8, will be PLAY BY dates, with 3 weeks between each. With the 4 bowl having the same number of entries as last year and the 2 bowl increasing, this was thought the best option.
With entries down in the triples, the preliminary round is redundant, meaning that it can start a week later, giving greens that extra week of play and a chance for the weather to improve slightly.
