Executive Vacancies & Leadership Opportunities
All executive positions are open for the upcoming season, and detailed job descriptions are available, here. As we look ahead, we have two major leadership transitions:
League Secretary: Jim Holmes has announced that this will be his final year in the role. We extend our deepest gratitude to Jim for his decades of dedicated service to the county, having served as League Secretary, County Secretary, interim Treasurer, and GPC member.
Assistant Secretary: Sheila Storey has tendered her resignation with immediate effect (see separate article). In the interim, please direct any queries previously sent to Sheila directly to County Secretary, Jason Proctor.
How to Apply: Nominations for all executive positions must be submitted by November 1st. Please send all nominations directly to County Secretary, Jason Proctor.
Call for AGM Proposals
We invite all clubs to begin submitting their proposals for the AGM on December 6th.
The Bowls Northumberland executive has been busy reviewing competition and league rules and will soon publish updated versions for clubs to review prior to the meeting. However, when it comes to club-led rule changes, we strongly encourage proactive participation:
Rather than waiting to see what others do, we prefer to see multiple clubs submitting the same proposed rule changes.
Collaboration and shared initiatives show a strong community consensus on where the sport should head.
Make sure to get your club proposals submitted by the November 1st deadline.
