Listed club contacts have received the 2027 Competition Entry form on Monday, 7th September. This release is later than usual because Bowls England requested that counties hold off on publishing until their competition price review was complete.
The review resulted in an increase of £1.50 per person per discipline for Bowls England fees. Consequently, individual entries for all Bowls England-administered competitions will cost £8 for 2027. Prices for all county-level competitions—including Mixed Pairs, Champion of Champions, Norris Trophy, and Benevolent Triples—remain unchanged from last year.
How we allocate the county top-up
For transparency, after paying Bowls England £4.05 from every £6 entry fee, we distributed the remaining funds as travel bursaries to our national finalists. This amount was divided equally and rounded up to £50 per player to help cover the expenses of representing Northumberland nationally.
Competition forms must be submitted by 8th January to the respective Competition Secretary to be included in the 2027 draw.
