Women’s 2 Bowl Singles
All games were completed in this competition this week:
B. Ware (WM) 16 v H. Smart (AP) 13
After 4 ends the players were level on 3-3. By 6 ends Bev had taken a lead of 6-3. By 8 ends Hazel had fought back and cut her deficit to 5-6. By 12 ends Bev had extended her lead to 12-7. Hazel fought back hard and by 18 ends they were level again 13-13. Bev then took the last 2 ends to finish the game 16-13 🎉
S. Watts (P) 17 v K. Sultman (FH) 10
Kacee took an early lead and after 4 ends was 5-0 up. Then Sue got in her stride taking the following 4 ends to take a lead of 7-5. Kacee replied with 2×2 and re took the lead after 10 ends 9-7. Sue took the following 7 ends to take a commanding lead of 17-9. Kacee scored 1 on the last end and then conceded the win to Sue 17-10 🎉
S. Stothard (NB) 17 v S. MacDonald (HX) 4
Sarah took an early lead of 6-1 after 5 ends. By 10 ends she had extended her lead to 12-1. Despite Susan taking another 3 ends, it was Sarah who pushed on hard scoring 2×2 on the last 2 ends to win the game 17-4 🎉
M. Angove (WM) 16 v M. Mohon (AM) 9
After 5 ends the players were level on 3-3. By end 8 Marysia had a lead of 5-4. Marysia pushed on hard and took the following 4 ends with 1 & 3×2 to extend her lead to 12-4. By end 15 Marysia had a lead of 14-6. Maddie took the following 2 ends to cut her deficit to 9-14. Then Marysia took the last 2 ends to win the game 16-9 🎉
