The second round of the 2 Wood Singles delivered a mix of clinical victories, high-stakes drama, and a narrow escape for the reigning champion. While several favorites cruised through, others found themselves fighting until the final delivery to secure their place in the next stage.

  • The Champion’s Defense:

Defending champion B. Davidson (WR) faced a stern test against S. Pallas (G). In a high-quality encounter that lived up to its billing, Davidson showcased his experience to edge out a 15–13 victory, keeping his title defense alive.

  • The Extra End Thriller:

The match of the round took place between S. Miller (G) and A. Pomfrey (BD). With the scores locked at the 21st end, the game headed to a tense extra end. Miller showed immense composure under pressure to secure the decisive shot, finishing 15–14* in his favour.

  • Clinical Dominance:
