It looked like a bleak run at the Northern Championships after our Pairs, Fours, and Under-24 champions suffered defeats yesterday, closely followed by our 2-bowl champion narrowly missing out this morning.
​However, the tide turned dramatically when our singles champion, Myerscough, stepped onto the green.
- ​First Round: Started strong with a dominant 21-6 win over James Bateson (Yorkshire).
- ​The Final: Faced Lewis Rimmer (Lancashire), who had advanced after defeating Cumbria’s Mark Irwin.
​Despite dropping a four on the opening end, Myerscough responded immediately with a 3 and a 1, taking control of the game to secure a 21-16 victory and claim the title of Singles Northern Champion.
