As we now approach the middle weekend of this years Bowls England National Finals at Royal Leamington Spa – on Saturday our representatives in the Men’s Junior Pairs start their campaign for glory.
Our representatives are George Rogan (Haltwhistle) & Matthew Bishop (Benfield) and they will play Adrian Allen & Ben Frost from Bedfordshire at 9:30am.
RESULT (JUNIOR PAIRS): Rnd 1: Bishop 16 v Frost 13 (Bedfordshire). RESULT (JUNIOR PAIRS):Rnd 2: Bishop 9 v Goodwin (Devon) 16.George & Matthew won this morning, freezing out their opponents 16 – 13; and will now face Devon in the next round (Kieron Kniverton & Harry Goodwin) at 3:30pm today.

Please note Stan Lant lost in Senior 4’s – BE incorrectly advised the result, it was actually a win for Trevor Logan (Sussex) 13 – 12 after extra end. On the Men’s Senior Fours we wish Durham (Alan Theobald) the very best of luck tomorrow – Durham representatives from Dunston, who both of their games today and will take their place in the semi-final on Sunday at 12:30pm, against another Northern Counties neighbour in Lancashire (Gordon Niven).
