The Men's Semi-Finals start Friday with the following games. I will be updating with live scoring (where possible), and on this section I will only show the final result.

Latest News - Womens

Over 55 Rinks

G Stapylton and team qualify for Nationals as they beat County president R Brown (AK) at Benfield, they ended the game with 2 ends to play due to the adverse weather.

They'll be waiting until Sunday 22nd to see if they play N Craig (BU) or A Daley (AK) in the final at Forest Hall as the other game was called off due to flooding, tied 18 all with 2 ends rremaining.

The final will take place12 pm at Forest Hall.

 
Stella Logan vs Durham

Friday 13th proved unlucky for the Stella Logan team as they brought home 3 points, only losing the overall game by 6 shots. Northumberland 111 vs Durham 117.

The team now have a long time to recover, as their next match away to Cumbria does not take place until after Nationals at Leamington on 31st August.

The semi-finals continue with St. Georges hosting on Saturday and Portland hosting both Sunday and Monday (evening).

Two Bowl Singles

Round 2 of the Two Bowl Singles was completed this evening (Mon 16th May) with holder Karl Jameson still in contention to retain his title following a 14- 11 victory over club colleague Dan Targar, a scoreline which was matched by three time champion Brian Houghton over the Fossway's Andy Johnson jnr. International Josh Minto had a narrow 13-12 win over Tony Fantozzi (Cramlington) as did Ian Brown over Benfield's Paul Proctor 15-14.

Round 3 draw is as follows:- S Richardson (G) v S Taws (PD); M London (BW) v B Davidson (WR); J Minto (G) v A stewart (NB); D Morrison (PE) v K Jameson (ST); I Brown (BW) v M Bennett (G); B Houghton (G) v J McKenna (G); S Miller (G) v G Richardson (PD); J King (FS) v S Pallas (G).

Muras Cup

After a highly successful trial match the following players have been selected to represent Northumberland in the opening Muras Cup fixture against Durham on Saturday 21st May at Alnwick BC with the game commencing at 2pm.

 There are a number of BDA Silver Packages being run this summer. The sessions are free and open to all bowlers and potential new bowlers coming into our sport

This year the President and HVP's will be raising funds for Great North Air Ambulance

With three aircraft the GNAA cover the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Bringing pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year.
